This morning when I sat down to compile my Tupac Top 10, I realized that I had more than 50 songs to choose from. Truth be told, 'Pac penned well over 50 great songs. He managed to touch on every topic and situation. Be it good or evil, Tupac had already covered it. In fact, I dare say that if 2Pac was alive, he would have ran out of things to say by now. In honor of the 10th anniversary of Tupac Amaru Shakur's death, I present to you Top 10 2pac songs of all time.

Forget the post-death stuff and even Me Against the World– So Many Tears was so amazing, greatest song on that album, I agree with much of the top 5 though. Hail Mary also >> almost anything pac made, ditto for blasphamy. Props on the top 3 though, spot on.
What?! No “Ambitionz as a Ridah”? No “Thugz Mansion”? No “To Live & Die in LA”? No “Toss It Up”?
Hey liked the list, all the songs are true classics. Miss him, he may not have been the best rapper, but he was the most important, i dont think any MC besides him have been such a political and cultural figure. Not dissin the list, but did you not consider “I aint mad at cha” a top 10, or did it just slip your mind?
Yeah probably Ambitionz as A Ridah, def not the others, though Live and Die in LA > Cali love imo. So Many Tears was always imo pac’s most powerful song.. well next to dear mama. Not a great MC, he didnt want to be that great lyrcists, he rapped from the soul.. RIP. He could’ve grown up and been a leader, instead he died when he was in an immature stage in his life.
How can you possibly not add “WONDER WHY THEY CALL YOU BITCH”, that song is too good to be true.
I absolutely considered “To Live and Die in L.A.” and “So Many Tears” is one of my all time favorite Pac songs. But, the truth is that even if I made a Top 100 Tupac songs, you’d still find that there are some other gems that deserve a mention.
The man wrote so many good songs. So, take my top 10 with a huge grain of salt.
I have to say that he wasn’t the greatest emcee, but he was the most influential by far. Rakim holds the crown in my humble opinion.

He was flawed though, he should’ve rose ABOVE all the garbage at death row, instead he just sunk to the same level, IMO Snoop was more mature at the time, and even now, Pac had potential, Malcom was a street husler named Detroit at 25, Oprah was a local news anchor- nobody, Martin Luther King was just another preecher at 25, he had some much time and so much potential.
Of course, Pac wasnt perfect. No one is.

I agree with ‘Chuckyy’, the songs listed there are the ones that touch us, the ones that are meaning full, when listing the “best” songs, you don’t list ones like ‘Carlifornian love’ because that is a song that is good to bounce around to… I don’t think the party songs are his best. RIP Tupac

In all honesty, I don’t think I could ever come close to squeezing a list down to a mere 10 songs. The thing about Pac was that he hit the nail on the head on so many bases, and with such a wide subject matter you can’t really narrow him down to a specific. Sure, he wasn’t the best lyrically when it came to being a MC, but he rapped from the gut. And to me, no matter how much wordplay you got or how good you sing a hook; sheer emotion and the rawness of a song can’t even be compared to anything else out there.

Its a pretty good top ten but not the best. You forgot some of his songs with the Outlawz. Changes up there for sure 2 and Thugz Mansion and Ghost.

Pac’s got a new double disc out the 4th of dec with 20 songs, they are all classics, but i think his less mainstream stuff is his best stuff(ie, hellrazor, r u still down, and my block)maybe Interscope needs to re-release all eyez on me instead bc we all know it is his best stuff!
