CD Review: The Roots - Game Theory
Wednesday August 30, 2006
The big deal here is that founding member and keyboardist Scott Storch is M.I.A. from a Roots record for the first time in 12 years. But that's okay, player. They've got hip-hop's most esteemed bald man, Jay-Z, behind the Game Theory. Yes, the man who once threatened to snap ?uestlove and co the eff out of his office if they remotely tried to follow popular trends may now kick back in his chair and pop some Cris--, I mean Dom Perignon. Read our Game Theory review, then respond / react.

This album is good but I personally liked the Tipping Point better because the songs were longer and beats were banging more than game theory but it’s still a good album way better than the album before the Tipping Point.
Regarding Henry’s review and Game Theory, neither have any soul.
The best hiphop album in years…very, very refreshing.
I hope y’all are REALLY listening. Finally… hip hoppers with something to say and worth listening to. This band never disappoints.
