50 Cent to Produce LL Cool J's Final Def Jam Album

Wednesday July 5, 2006
50 Cent is on a production roll lately, with Freeway, Olivia, Lloyd Banks, and Lil' Scrappy all lining up for his 'midas' touch. Fellow Queens, New York rapper LL Cool J has now joined the army of hip-hop artists seeking the G-Unit General's production expertise. 50 Cent will produce LL's next Def Jam album Back to Cool, which is slated for Fall 2006.
"It's my last Def Jam record so I wanted to make it something special and something really unique and kinda get back to my roots a little bit," LL said to MTV News. "50 reminds me a lot of the things that I used to do and the places I used to be in my life, and I think we can have a good time together."
But, out of all other viable options, why 50 Cent?
"He's talented and I feel like I have something I want to say — I think he can help me get it off my chest," LL told MTV. "We're definitely putting our heads together, we definitely have subject matter in mind and I'm definitely focused on making it as hot as it can be."
With LL soliciting a producer from outside his own label, I wonder what this says of Jay-Z and L.A. Reid's abilities. Regardless, this seems like an irrational move. Sure, Curtis "Interscope" Jackson has had some level of success with his early G-Unit projects, but, his last two releases were shaky. Who can forget the disastrous outing by Tony Yayo (Thoughts of a Predicate Felon) and Mobb Deep (Blood Money)?

50 should have never signed Olivia she is bad luck when she come around every thing shut down! she flopped and 50s legacy may be ending cause he picked the wrong chick. You can put as many niggas down with you as you want: but you have to be careful when picking a female she gotta be the truth and Olivia hasnt found her true identity.
