Pharrell and Stevie Wonder to Join Snoop Dogg on the 'Blue Carpet'
Sunday June 18, 2006
When he's not too busy stirring up some brouhaha at London airports, hip-hop vet Snoop Dogg spends his extra time in the studio. Apparently, Snoop has been working on his new album The Blue Carpet Treatment for so long that by the time it actually drops, Britney Spears would have had two more babies.
"I've been working on it for nine months," Snoop told Billboard.com. "I've been working with Pharrell, Timbaland, will.i.am, Stevie Wonder, James Ingram, Warren G, R. Kelly, Ne-Yo, Akon, Jermaine Dupri, Janet Jackson, on and on. I have so much good material -- it's about [figuring out] what I'm going to use on my record."The Blue Carpet Treatment is expected in stores later this fall. Meanwhile, Snoop joins Tha Dogg Pound for their reunion album, Cali Iz Active, slated for a June 27th release on Doggystyle Records, with KOCH handling distribution duties.
