Top New Rap Releases for June
Saturday June 3, 2006
Summer is usually the big season for hip-hop bangers you can groove to on a Sunday afternoon at the park. You know, smooved out sing-a-longs; or at the other extreme, jams with apt titles like "Fire," "Temperature," and "Heat." Artists and labels are aware of the need to unleash such seasonal singles designed to incinerate the charts early. Hence, summer jams start dropping like confetti anywhere from May or June. No wonder Busta has been pumping "Touch It" for the past few months leading up to the June 13 release date of his Aftermath debut, The Big Bang. On another note, Lord Jamar's groundbreaking The 5% Album is also set to hit stores this month. For an entire list of this month's noteworthy rap projects, check out the Top Rap Releases.
