June Artist of the Month: Gnarls Barkley
Sunday May 28, 2006
Cee-Lo Green and Danger Mouse collectively known as Gnarls Barkley made history when their first single, "Crazy," became the first song to top the UK chart on digital sales alone. Proving that Gnarls is not a one-hit-wonder, the duo not only dropped an eagerly awaited quintessential debut, St. Elsewhere; they dropped gems and jaws as well. Following the tremendous success of "Crazy," Gnarls Barkley has now released their second single, "Smiley Faces" to keep the buzz growing. The album itself hasn't done too badly, selling over 95,000 units in two weeks. Without much ado, I present to you May 2006 Artist of the month: Gnarls Barkley.
