New Nas Album Due Late September
Friday May 19, 2006
Nas fans gather round, the Queens don has announced that his first Def Jam album will be released in September. According to reports by Billboard.com, the album, Hip-Hop Is Dead, will feature a collaboration with will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas. In an earlier interview with MTV, Nas also revealed that he'll be collaborating with Scarface protege, The Product, on his 8th solo project. I don't know about Hip-Hop Is Dead for an album title, but I'm anxious to see what type of chemistry Nas and Def Jam (read Jay-Z) will showcase on this project. Speaking of which, I wonder why Def Jam's website still doesn't have a page for Nas 5 months after he was added to their roster in a joint deal with Sony. More Nas
