Spotlight: Penelope Jones - Miss Me With That Foolishness

Sunday April 23, 2006
I'm glad to see the resurgence of female rappers once more. There's too much adrenaline in the rap industry, and we need our femcees to help even out the field. Leave it to the likes of Jean Grae, Shawnna, and most reccently, Penelope Jones to rock the mic as hard as their male counterparts. Jones' Jazze Pha-laced "Miss Me With That Foolishness" - an ode to independence - has been making media rounds lately. What are your thoughts on Penelope Jones and her new song?

Yes I am from the Lou. But that isn’t why I love Penelope. There are only a few today that just has skillz on the mic. Eminem and Trick Daddy (in my book) are few today. Penelope has skillz on the microphone, just listen to her lyrics!!!
