Rhymefest said it best, one thing Chicago lacks is a bunch of "wack emcees." What's interesting about Lupe Fiasco is that despite his atypical rap style, he's been co-signed by several major label honchos, from L.A. Reid (former Arista CEO) to Jay-Z (Def Jam), who's executive producing Lupe's Food & Liquor album, and Craig Kallman (Atlantic). Food & Liquor is slated to drop on June 28th on Atlantic Records. The album's lead single, "Kick,Push," which may or may not be an ode to Lupe's skateboarding passion, has been making media rounds lately. Keep an eye on this page for a premiere of the song/video sometime soon. Lupe Fiasco recently put together a promo tour to push the album.
